A community festival. People drinking and talking at bar tables. There is bunting hung over the courtyard.

We are seeking feedback on the NEW Blue Mountains City Council Events Notification Procedure, to be enacted in 2024.

This procedure provides the requirements for managing event notifications, invitations to Councillors, dignitaries and VIPs, and speakers in the coordination of Council events including programs, activities and public meetings (both internal and external).

It will also result in a corporate calendar providing an overview of all endorsed Council events - at all times.

This procedure applies to all Blue Mountains City Council Officers and staff and includes all Council-managed events, programs, activities and public meetings. This procedure does not apply to events that are not managed by Council, third-party events.

Please note: Events excluded from this procedure are regular activities conducted by services or facilities e.g. Story Time at the Libraries, performances programmed in the Blue Mountains Theatre, or group fitness classes at the Leisure Centres, as well as those events that are managed through the development application and approvals processes.
