Backyard Swimming Pool Survey
Recent changes to the NSW Swimming Pools Act 1992 include new responsibilities for both pool owners and Blue Mountains City Council. One of the requirements is for Council to develop and implement a swimming pool inspection program in consultation with the local community.
In line with the requirements of the new Act, Council is commencing a review of its swimming pool inspection program. Council is seeking community comment on this important issue through our online survey.

Have Your Say on the proposed action plans for the future of our City of Blue Mountains.
Our City, Our Future Sustainable Blue Mountains - Planning for the next 4 to 10 years. Council has prepared a number of draft plans for the future of our City, and wishes to invite the views of the community on these plans.
The draft plans are on public exhibition from 26 April to 23 May 2013 and we seek your advice and Feedback.

Knapsack Park Downhill Bike Track: Update
Blue Mountains City Council is advising the community that construction of the Knapsack Park Downhill Bike Track is due to commence on Wednesday 7th March 2013 by consultants, DirtArt.

Conversion of former Katoomba Library to Katoomba Community Hall
Recent interest from the performing arts community has prompted a review of the existing design for the conversion of the former Katoomba Library to a Community Hall, particularly, the internal fit out and finishes.
You are invited and encouraged to view the preliminary designs and to have your say on the future use of the Katoomba Civic Centre.

Glenbrook Swim Centre Upgrade
Glenbrook Swim Centre is currently undergoing a major upgrade.
Blue Mountains City Council has committed to a $1million Capital Works Program to renew the pipe work and filtration system which will improve water quality and clarity.The new heating system will maintain temperatures at 27degrees and an enclosed program pool means access to Learn to Swim lesson year round.
The centre will also boast new childrens interactive water features in the Toddler pool. Four user-activated water cannons and a spray hose will be located in the smallest pool to increase appeal and provide more fun for younger pool users.
The Glenbrook Swim Centre will reopen early October with a free community open day Saturday 6 October.

Have your say about street tree planting!
This consultation has concluded.
Planning is underway to replant streets and parks in the Blackheath area which were impacted by the windstorm event of July 2011. Council has identified a number of street and park trees that need replacing.
Council intends to plant replacement trees commencing in Autumn/Winter 2012 and may continue in Autumn/Winter 2013. HAVE YOUR SAY

Reducing Youth Alcohol Harm
This consultation has concluded.
Council, in collaboration with other service providers has developed a draft Plan called, 'Options to Reduce Youth Alcohol Related Harm in the Blue Mountains'. The draft Plan is on public exhibition from Wednesday 23 May to Friday 6 July, 2012. You are invited and encouraged to view the draft Plan and provide comments and suggestions or make a formal submission.
